Independent product analysis
The manufacturer makes claims.
We check what the evidence says.
BestProductRanking analyses consumer products and services. We take apart the declared composition and specification, set them against available studies and certificates, review verified owner feedback from extended use, and weigh what a product costs against what it delivers. The BPR score is the mean of four component scores on a 0–10 scale, calculated identically in every category.

03 / Method
Four sources.
One scale for everything.
The BPR score is the mean of four component scores. No hidden multipliers, no discretionary points — the full description is in the methodology.
01Composition and specification
Declared composition and specification: active ingredients and their concentrations, energy classes, standards, technical parameters — and what the manufacturer leaves unsaid.
02Evidence and studies
Verification of the manufacturer's claims against outside sources: laboratory reports, industry testing, safety data sheets, certificates and regulatory decisions.
03Owner feedback
Analysis of verified reviews written after extended use, together with recurring fault reports for the model or series.
04Cost and value
Price set against what the product actually delivers, plus costs incurred later — consumables, energy, servicing, subscriptions — over the lifespan typical for the category.

Questions and answers
Frequently asked questions
What are the scores based on?+
Four sources: the declared composition and specification of the product, available studies and certificates, an analysis of verified owner reviews, and the relationship between price and what the product delivers. Every source is named with the ranking.
How is the BPR score calculated?+
The BPR score is the mean of four component scores on a 0–10 scale: composition and specification, evidence and studies, owner feedback, and cost and value. Each carries equal weight, in every category. The full method is set out in the methodology.
Can scores be compared across categories?+
No. A score of 8.6 for a washing machine and 8.6 for a face cream do not describe the same thing, because each category is analysed on a different set of parameters. Scores are comparable only within one category.
How often are rankings updated?+
Prices are checked weekly, the composition of a ranking monthly, and a full re-analysis runs every twelve months — or sooner when a manufacturer changes the formulation or specification. The date of the last update appears on every ranking.
Can a manufacturer influence the result?+
No. We do not accept payment for a place in a ranking or for a score, we publish no sponsored content, and no brand sees its result before publication. The site is funded by affiliate links, which have no effect on the order.
