What matters here
What we look at in Electronics
In electronics the specification sheet and the experience of using a device diverge faster than in any other category. A phone with a large battery can last less than a smaller one, a laptop advertised on its peak clock can spend most of an hour throttled, and two televisions with the same nominal resolution can look nothing alike in a bright room.
So we look first at the measurements a manufacturer is least keen to publish. For screens: sustained brightness in nits, panel type and how the picture holds up off-axis. For laptops and phones: performance after twenty minutes of load rather than in the first thirty seconds, and battery life at a fixed screen brightness instead of at whatever setting flatters the result. For audio: measured frequency response and the codecs actually supported at both ends of a connection.
The second thing we weigh is how long the device stays useful. Guaranteed years of system and security updates, whether the battery can be replaced, whether spare parts are sold at all. In this category that decides real cost more often than the price on the shelf does — a phone supported for five years is cheaper per year than a phone supported for two, almost regardless of what each one cost.

● 03 — How we score
A ranking is not
a bestseller list.
It is built from data.
/ 01
BestProductRanking combines an analysis of composition and specification, available third-party studies and verified owner feedback — to show what actually works rather than what has the largest advertising budget.
01We analyse
Every category has its own protocol and a defined key parameter — not an editor's impression.
02We verify
Every manufacturer claim is checked against an independent source: a study, a certificate or a public register. Anything unconfirmed is labelled as a declaration.
03We publish
The underlying data and the scoring formula are public for every ranking.
04 / Methodology
Four sources.
One protocol per category.
The 0–10 score comes from the same four components, whether the subject is a television, a tyre or a face cream. Each carries equal weight, and the sources are listed with every ranking.
01Composition and specification
Declared composition and specification: active ingredients and their concentrations, energy classes, standards, technical parameters — and what the manufacturer leaves unsaid.
02Evidence and studies
Verification of the manufacturer's claims against outside sources: laboratory reports, industry testing, safety data sheets, certificates and regulatory decisions.
03Owner feedback
Analysis of verified reviews written after extended use, together with recurring fault reports for the model or series.
04Cost and value
Price set against what the product actually delivers, plus costs incurred later — consumables, energy, servicing, subscriptions — over the lifespan typical for the category.

Principles
Four sources.
No guesswork.
Every score rests on manufacturer documentation, available studies and certificates, verified owner feedback from extended use, and the relationship between price and what the product delivers. We do not sell positions in a ranking and no brand sees its score before publication.
