What this product is
Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.
We are ranking this partly on a specification and partly on a sentence.
Silver Cross states plainly that the Clic "does not meet the IATA's hand luggage specifications." In a category where three competitors market cabin compatibility while measuring 44 to 46.5 cm wide, and where one is literally named TRVL and folds to 34 × 52 × 71 cm, that candour is worth crediting. It also tells you something about the company.
The substantive advantage is the seat. It has a full lie-flat position from birth with no separate nest or bassinet required. That is more significant than it looks, because Stiftung Warentest's verdict on the entire twelve-model field was that none had a fully reclining seat suitable for newborns without buying a separate bassinet. Only three strollers in this ranking manage a genuinely flat seat out of the box: this one, the Inglesina Quid³ at 170°, and the Chicco Goody Plus.
It weighs 6.5 kg, folds to 54 × 46.5 × 25 cm, takes a child to 22 kg or roughly four years, has a 5 kg basket and a UPF 50+ canopy with ventilation. The bundle includes a bumper bar, rain cover and travel bag.
One thing to check before ordering. The UK "Clic 2" and the German-market "Clic" may be different generations — weights of 5.9 kg and 6.5 kg both circulate, and we could not resolve which applies to which market. Confirm the generation and its weight before buying.
Silver Cross was not in the Stiftung Warentest field, so there is no independent test result.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How important is a genuinely flat seat?
For a newborn, it is the main thing. A newborn cannot hold its head or support its spine, and a semi-upright curled posture can compress the airway and restrict breathing. The standard paediatric caution is to limit continuous time in any seated device — car seats included — and to prefer a flat, firm surface. A backrest at 170° is close to flat; one advertised as "near-flat" at 150° is a chair. Stiftung Warentest criticised the entire category on exactly this point.
