What this product is
Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.
The one manufacturer that gives you a number instead of an adjective.
Inglesina publishes a recline of 170°. Nobody else in this ranking states an angle at all — the others say "flat", "near-flat", "continuously adjustable" or nothing. At 170° this is genuinely close to flat, and it is suitable from birth. That single published figure lets you evaluate the newborn claim rather than trust it.
It weighs 6.4 kg and takes a child to 22 kg. The folded depth of 19 cm is the slimmest here — better than the Cybex's 20 cm. But the 59 cm length exceeds the 55 cm limit and the 46.5 cm width exceeds 40, so cabin-approved claims for it are marginal at best.
Wheels are removable, there is front suspension, the basket takes 5 kg and the canopy is UPF 50+. On the Quid², which shares the platform, wheels are 15 cm front and 16 cm rear, the five-point harness has two height positions, it free-stands on a support foot when folded, and it opens and closes one-handed.
A weight figure to treat with care. Inglesina's own site gives 6.4 kg for the Quid², while a specialist stroller database gives 5.9 kg. We have used the manufacturer's figure. Do not quote 5.9 kg without checking which configuration it describes — this is exactly the measurement game the marketing section below covers.
The Quid² is still available at around €199–269, which makes it one of the better-value from-birth strollers in Europe if you can find it. Inglesina did not appear in the Stiftung Warentest field.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is 170° flat enough for a newborn?
It is close, and it is the only figure in this ranking you can actually evaluate. A fully flat surface is 180°; 170° is ten degrees off, which is a very shallow incline. Compare that with a stroller advertised as "near-flat" without an angle, which could be 150° — a chair. The general paediatric caution still applies: limit continuous time in any seated or semi-seated device and break up long journeys.
