What this product is
Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.
New, expensive and so far not convincing on the evidence we could see. In 205/55 R16 91V the label shown by reifen.com is C / B / 72 dB (class B), EPREL 2273431 — louder than the 69 dB of the CrossClimate 2 94V XL it replaces, and identical to the Kumho that costs about half as much. It carries 3PMSF and M+S.
Michelin claims a 4% improvement in wet braking over its predecessor; its page notes testing in 205/55 R16 94V, new and worn, but publishes no figures for this size. In Auto Bild's 2026 qualifying round in 225/45 R17 it needed 46.3 m wet, 38.6 m dry and 84.9 m in total — last of the seven results we noted, 5.5 m behind the Bridgestone. We found no ADAC result for it.
Owner feedback cannot yet be judged in this size: reifen.com shows only 2 reviews. Michelin's UK site shows 4.8/5 from 1,560 reviews, but that covers all sizes. Worth revisiting when a test in 205/55 R16 appears.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is the CrossClimate 3 better than the CrossClimate 2?
Michelin claims 4% shorter wet braking. Independent evidence is limited: in Auto Bild's 2026 225/45 R17 braking round it was last of the seven results we noted, and we found no test in 205/55 R16.
Why is it ranked last?
It is expensive, its 205/55 R16 label is only C / B / 72 dB, there is no independent test in this size, and there are too few reviews in this size to judge owner experience.
