Review

What this product is

Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.

This is the bank for people who want to know exactly what they are buying. UGREEN's EU store lists the battery as 20,000 mAh at 14.4 V (72 Wh) and, unusually, gives a rated capacity of 11,300 mAh at 5 V. That second figure is the honest one: 11,300 mAh at 5 V is about 56.5 Wh, roughly 78% of the cell energy, which is what you can expect to reach your devices once conversion losses are paid.

The port table is equally complete. USB-C1 runs from 5 V up to 20 V at 5 A (100 W) and lists USB PD 3.0, PPS and Quick Charge 3.0; USB-C2 tops out at 12 V 2.5 A (30 W); the USB-A port offers up to 22.5 W. Recharging runs at up to 20 V 3.25 A, i.e. 65 W, over USB PD 3.0. That makes it one of only two banks here able to feed a 100 W laptop from a single port.

At €65.99 (compare-at price €79.99) it is mid-priced. What is missing: weight and dimensions were not in the data we could load, so weight per Wh cannot be calculated, and we saw no rating figures or independent test results on the pages we opened.

Component scores

Where the score
comes from.

Four components, equal weight, each on a 0–10 scale and each resting on a named source. The overall score is their mean — the full procedure is in the methodology.

  1. Composition and specification9.2

Declared composition and specification: active ingredients and their concentrations, energy classes, standards, technical parameters — and what the manufacturer leaves unsaid.

  2. Evidence and studies5.0

Verification of the manufacturer's claims against outside sources: laboratory reports, industry testing, safety data sheets, certificates and regulatory decisions.

  3. Owner feedback6.5

Analysis of verified reviews written after extended use, together with recurring fault reports for the model or series.

  4. Cost and value8.0

Price set against what the product actually delivers, plus costs incurred later — consumables, energy, servicing, subscriptions — over the lifespan typical for the category.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does the rated capacity of 11,300 mAh mean?

It is the charge the bank can deliver at 5 V, after conversion losses. 11,300 mAh × 5 V is about 56.5 Wh, against 72 Wh stored in the cells.

Can it charge a laptop at 100 W?

Yes, from the USB-C1 port only, which UGREEN lists at up to 20 V 5 A. The second USB-C port is limited to 30 W.

Principles

The manufacturer makes claims.
We check what the evidence says.
