Review

What this product is

Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.

BlueBuilt is Coolblue's house brand, sold in the Netherlands and Belgium, so this suits buyers in those markets who want a compact all-rounder with a long warranty. Coolblue lists a three-year standard warranty, extended to five years when bought there.

The specification table is reasonably complete for a retailer brand: USB-C at 45 W, a second USB-C at 30 W, USB-A at 22.5 W, USB Power Delivery 3.0 and Quick Charge 3.0, 12 × 6.9 × 3.26 cm and 314 g. That is the lowest weight we found for a 20,000 mAh bank in this ranking, and the display reporting real-time wattage is useful for checking whether a device is actually fast-charging.

Owners rate it 8.8 out of 10 from 13 reviews on the product page we opened. At €55.00 it costs more than the Samsung or the budget Varta and Intenso units, but less than the high-wattage UGREEN and Anker models.

What is missing: no watt-hour figure and no rated capacity at 5 V, so the 314 g cannot be converted into a weight-per-Wh figure, and PPS support is not mentioned. Availability outside Coolblue's markets is limited. We found no independent test.

Component scores

Where the score
comes from.

Four components, equal weight, each on a 0–10 scale and each resting on a named source. The overall score is their mean — the full procedure is in the methodology.

  1. Composition and specification7.2

Declared composition and specification: active ingredients and their concentrations, energy classes, standards, technical parameters — and what the manufacturer leaves unsaid.

  2. Evidence and studies5.0

Verification of the manufacturer's claims against outside sources: laboratory reports, industry testing, safety data sheets, certificates and regulatory decisions.

  3. Owner feedback8.2

Analysis of verified reviews written after extended use, together with recurring fault reports for the model or series.

  4. Cost and value7.8

Price set against what the product actually delivers, plus costs incurred later — consumables, energy, servicing, subscriptions — over the lifespan typical for the category.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Who makes BlueBuilt power banks?

BlueBuilt is the own brand of the Dutch retailer Coolblue, and the product page and warranty terms are Coolblue's.

Is 45 W enough for a laptop?

For small USB-C laptops and tablets, yes; laptops that expect 65 W or more will charge more slowly.

Principles

The manufacturer makes claims.
We check what the evidence says.

Every ranking follows the same protocol: an analysis of composition and specification, verification of claims against available studies, a review of verified owner feedback, and an assessment of price against what the product delivers.
