Review

What this product is

Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.

The Halo H47BE is the least expensive way in this ranking to get a 6 GHz band: about 318 euros for two units. Mercusys, TP-Link's budget brand, publishes 5760 Mbps on 6 GHz, 2880 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, the same figures as the Deco BE65, with 320 MHz channels, MLO and 4K-QAM. Each unit has three auto-sensing 2.5 Gbit/s ports. Coverage is given as up to 550 m² for the two-pack and the device claim is over 200.

The specification sheet is more open than most on radio details: it lists transmission power limits per band, reception sensitivity and 802.11k/v/r roaming support, along with router and access-point modes and basic parental controls with profiles and time limits.

The weakness is evidence. We could not find a published independent measurement of the H47BE, so its test score is low, and nothing in this text should be read as a performance finding. Also missing: processor, RAM, power consumption, a USB port, any Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 7 statement and an update period. Buyers who want a tested tri-band system should pay the roughly 90 euros more for the Deco BE65.

Component scores

Where the score
comes from.

Four components, equal weight, each on a 0–10 scale and each resting on a named source. The overall score is their mean — the full procedure is in the methodology.

  1. Composition and specification8.0

Declared composition and specification: active ingredients and their concentrations, energy classes, standards, technical parameters — and what the manufacturer leaves unsaid.

  2. Evidence and studies4.0

Verification of the manufacturer's claims against outside sources: laboratory reports, industry testing, safety data sheets, certificates and regulatory decisions.

  3. Owner feedback6.8

Analysis of verified reviews written after extended use, together with recurring fault reports for the model or series.

  4. Cost and value8.2

Price set against what the product actually delivers, plus costs incurred later — consumables, energy, servicing, subscriptions — over the lifespan typical for the category.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the Halo H47BE a rebadged Deco BE65?

We cannot confirm that. The published per-band link rates are identical (5760, 2880 and 574 Mbps), but the H47BE has three 2.5 Gbit/s ports and no USB, while the Deco BE65 has four and a USB 3.0 port, and the housings differ in size. Neither brand publishes the processor.

Does it work with Deco units?

Mercusys does not state Deco compatibility on the product page. Treat Halo and Deco as separate systems unless the manufacturer says otherwise.

Principles

The manufacturer makes claims.
We check what the evidence says.

Every ranking follows the same protocol: an analysis of composition and specification, verification of claims against available studies, a review of verified owner feedback, and an assessment of price against what the product delivers.
