Blueair Blue Pure 311i Max (3350i)

Three separate CADR values, a sensible 36 m² room recommendation and the best owner ratings among the larger machines. The filter relies partly on electrical charging, and we found no independent test of this exact model.

Review

What this product is

Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.

Blueair's mid-size model suits living rooms of 30 to 40 m². It is one of only two brands here that publish CADR separately for smoke, dust and pollen: 283, 314 and 365 cfm. Converted, the smoke figure is about 481 m³/h, the second-highest in this ranking, for €249. The page gives no value in m³/h, which is odd for a European store.

The room recommendation is unusually straight. Blueair says 36 m², which corresponds to about 5.6 air changes per hour, and only then adds '86 m² in 30 minutes'. Noise is stated as 23–50 dB, power as 32 W, weight as 3.5 kg.

The filter uses what Blueair calls HEPASilent: particles are electrically charged and then caught by a mechanical filter, for a stated 99.97 % down to 0.1 µm. That is not a classified EN 1822 filter, and the page we opened carries no ozone statement. The filter lasts up to a year, tracked by usage; a filter price is not shown.

Owner feedback is strong: 4.7 out of 5 from 218 reviews on Blueair's store, with 94 % recommending it. The evidence gap is independent testing: HouseFresh has measured other Blue Pure models, but we found no test of this version.

Component scores

Where the score
comes from.

Four components, equal weight, each on a 0–10 scale and each resting on a named source. The overall score is their mean — the full procedure is in the methodology.

  1. Composition and specification8.0

Declared composition and specification: active ingredients and their concentrations, energy classes, standards, technical parameters — and what the manufacturer leaves unsaid.

  2. Evidence and studies5.5

Verification of the manufacturer's claims against outside sources: laboratory reports, industry testing, safety data sheets, certificates and regulatory decisions.

  3. Owner feedback8.8

Analysis of verified reviews written after extended use, together with recurring fault reports for the model or series.

  4. Cost and value8.6

Price set against what the product actually delivers, plus costs incurred later — consumables, energy, servicing, subscriptions — over the lifespan typical for the category.

  • 4.7/5 from 218 reviews on blueair.co, 94 % recommend

Worth knowing

  • CADR given only in cfm on the European page
  • No EN 1822 class; relies on electrical charging plus mechanical filter
  • No ozone statement on the page we opened
  • No independent test of this model found; filter price not shown

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert Blueair's cfm figures?

Multiply by 1.699. 283 cfm for smoke is about 481 m³/h, 314 cfm for dust about 533 m³/h and 365 cfm for pollen about 620 m³/h. Use the smoke value for comparisons; it covers the smallest particles.

Does HEPASilent produce ozone?

The product page we opened describes electrical charging of particles but makes no ozone statement. We could not verify an ozone measurement for this model, so ask the seller for the test report if this is important to you.

Principles

The manufacturer makes claims.
We check what the evidence says.

Every ranking follows the same protocol: an analysis of composition and specification, verification of claims against available studies, a review of verified owner feedback, and an assessment of price against what the product delivers.
