Review

What this product is

Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.

This is a desk-and-travel hub for someone who wants to charge an iPhone magnetically while also running a laptop. UGREEN's EU store lists four outputs: USB-C1 up to 20 V 5 A (100 W), USB-C2 up to 45 W, USB-A up to 22.5 W, and a Qi2 magnetic pad at 15 W, with a 145 W combined maximum. It recharges at up to 65 W through USB-C1 or 45 W through USB-C2, has a TFT display, and UGREEN says it uses 21700 lithium-ion cells.

The size is given as 11.2 × 6.8 × 6 cm — chunky, and at 6 cm deep, not a pocket item.

Price is the problem. The product page showed €179.99 against a struck-through €319.99, while the collection page showed €99.98 at the time of our visit; we use the product-page figure. Either way it costs far more than the wired-only Nexode 100 W, which has the same 100 W laptop port.

What is missing: watt-hours and weight were not in the data we loaded, so neither the airline check nor weight per Wh can be done from the page. No ratings were visible and we found no independent test.

Component scores

Where the score
comes from.

Four components, equal weight, each on a 0–10 scale and each resting on a named source. The overall score is their mean — the full procedure is in the methodology.

  1. Composition and specification8.0

Declared composition and specification: active ingredients and their concentrations, energy classes, standards, technical parameters — and what the manufacturer leaves unsaid.

  2. Evidence and studies5.0

Verification of the manufacturer's claims against outside sources: laboratory reports, industry testing, safety data sheets, certificates and regulatory decisions.

  3. Owner feedback5.8

Analysis of verified reviews written after extended use, together with recurring fault reports for the model or series.

  4. Cost and value4.8

Price set against what the product actually delivers, plus costs incurred later — consumables, energy, servicing, subscriptions — over the lifespan typical for the category.
