NETGEAR Orbi 770 Series RBE772
Tri-band BE11000 with 2.5 Gbit/s ports throughout and a clearly published hardware sheet, but NETGEAR's page gives no per-band link rates and several functions sit behind an account or subscription.

Review
What this product is
Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.
The Orbi 770 two-pack suits buyers who want a set-and-forget tri-band system and a connection below 2.5 Gbit/s. NETGEAR's German page states BE11000, up to 360 m² and up to 100 devices for the RBE772. The router has one 2.5 Gbit/s WAN port and three 2.5 Gbit/s LAN ports; the satellite has two 2.5 Gbit/s ports. Hardware is published in unusual detail: a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, 4 GB of flash and 0.916 kg per unit, with a two-year limited warranty and 90 days of free technical support.
Dong Knows Tech rated the 770 series 7.9 out of 10 in September 2024, measuring a wireless link of about 2.2 Gbps on average and about 2.4 Gbps over a wired backhaul, with cool, quiet running. It criticises limited Wi-Fi settings, a 6 GHz band locked into MLO, a mandatory login account and advanced features that require paid subscriptions.
What is missing: per-band link rates and channel width are not on the product page, and the length of the included NETGEAR Armor trial is not stated there. NETGEAR's list price is 649.99 euros; we used the 546.30 euro street price.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What happens when the NETGEAR Armor trial ends?
Armor, the Bitdefender-based security service, is included as a trial; on the Orbi 370 page NETGEAR states 30 days, after which a paid subscription is needed. For the Orbi 770 the trial length is not stated on the product page. The mesh system itself keeps working without it.
Is the three-pack better value?
NETGEAR lists the three-pack RBE773 at 899.99 euros with coverage of up to 540 m². Per unit that is slightly cheaper than the two-pack list price of 649.99 euros, but we compared two-packs throughout.
