The CM 5310 Silence suits small households that value low noise and a machine they can open up. Miele lists it at 799 euros and publishes a conical grinder, a removable brew unit, a 1.3 litre tank, a 200 g bean container, 241 x 360 x 460 mm, 1.45 kW and 0.3 W in standby. 'OneTouch for Two' makes two milk drinks at once; the programmes are ristretto, espresso, coffee, cappuccino, latte macchiato, caffè latte and hot milk.
testberichte.de lists Stiftung Warentest 'gut' (2.1) from November 2020, with the comments 'top at descaling' and the quietest grinder of that test, Konsument at 68 % (second of eight) in January 2021 and CHIP at 2.1 in April 2023, where taste scored 1.2 and equipment only 2.8–2.9. These are solid results, but the main one is almost six years old and was measured against the machines of 2020.
The 376 Amazon reviews aggregated there average 3.9 stars, 51 % five-star; Miele's own shop shows 5 stars from just 3 reviews. Listed weaknesses are the small water tank, a slow milk-system rinse and few storable recipes.
