Levoit Core 300S Pro

A compact 2.72 kg cylinder with a laser particle sensor and app. 240 m³/h is enough for about 20 m², not the 50 m² on the product page, and rivals now offer more air for the same €150.

Review

What this product is

Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.

The Core 300S Pro fits small bedrooms, children's rooms and studies. Levoit publishes 240 m³/h (141 cfm) and says it cleans 50 m² in 30 minutes, which is two air changes per hour; at five changes the realistic room is about 20 m².

It is small and light, 22 × 22 × 36 cm and 2.72 kg, draws 23 W and is quoted at 22 dB in sleep mode. The Pro version adds a laser particle sensor and works with the VeSync app, Alexa and Google. Levoit calls it 100 % ozone-free.

The gaps: the maximum noise is not stated, the filter is 'HEPA' with 99.97 % at 0.3 µm but no EN 1822 class, and neither a filter interval nor a filter price appears on the German product page.

For independent evidence there is only a relative. HouseFresh measured the non-Pro Core 300S in its US version: 45 minutes to clear PM1 from its test room, 54.5 dB and 21.8 W at top speed. It called the machine a good choice for a small bedroom but noted that newer rivals offer better value. That matches the arithmetic here: the Blueair 511i Max and IKEA STARKVIND publish more CADR for the same money or less. On levoit.de, 48 of 61 reviews give five stars.

Component scores

Where the score
comes from.

Four components, equal weight, each on a 0–10 scale and each resting on a named source. The overall score is their mean — the full procedure is in the methodology.

  1. Composition and specification7.0

Declared composition and specification: active ingredients and their concentrations, energy classes, standards, technical parameters — and what the manufacturer leaves unsaid.

  2. Evidence and studies6.5

Verification of the manufacturer's claims against outside sources: laboratory reports, industry testing, safety data sheets, certificates and regulatory decisions.

  3. Owner feedback7.5

Analysis of verified reviews written after extended use, together with recurring fault reports for the model or series.

  4. Cost and value7.6

Price set against what the product actually delivers, plus costs incurred later — consumables, energy, servicing, subscriptions — over the lifespan typical for the category.

What we liked

  • Compact and light: 22 × 22 × 36 cm, 2.72 kg
  • 23 W and 22 dB in sleep mode according to Levoit
  • Laser particle sensor and VeSync app with voice control
  • Stated as 100 % ozone-free
  • Sister model Core 300S measured by HouseFresh (45 minutes, PM1)

Worth knowing

  • 50 m² claim assumes two air changes per hour; about 20 m² at five
  • Maximum noise not published; HouseFresh measured 54.5 dB on the Core 300S
  • No EN 1822 class, no filter interval, no filter price on the page
  • About €0.62 per m³/h: dearer per unit of clean air than the 400S

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does HouseFresh's test apply to the Pro?

Only loosely. HouseFresh measured the US Core 300S without the Pro's laser sensor. The fan and filter format are similar, but we found no measurement of the European 300S Pro itself.

Is 240 m³/h enough for a bedroom?

For up to about 20 m² at five air changes per hour, yes. At night you will use a lower speed, where the delivery is well below 240 m³/h; Levoit does not publish that figure.

Principles

The manufacturer makes claims.
We check what the evidence says.

Every ranking follows the same protocol: an analysis of composition and specification, verification of claims against available studies, a review of verified owner feedback, and an assessment of price against what the product delivers.
