What this product is
Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.
Haier's page for the I-Pro Series 5 HW90-B14959U1 gives every label value: class A, 49 kWh per 100 cycles, 48 litres per cycle, spin class B, 70 dB(A) in noise class A and 3:48 h for Eco 40-60. It weighs 65 kg and measures 583 mm in depth. Haier lists a direct-drive inverter motor, a steam refresh programme, the hOn app over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, an antibacterial door gasket and drum lighting. A motor warranty is not stated on the page.
We found no independent test of this model. The 8 kg HW80-B14959YEU1 was in Stiftung Warentest's issue 11/2025; we could not see its grade and do not transfer it.
Owner feedback is the weak point. On Amazon.de the machine has 3.8 stars from 479 reviews, with 58 % five-star but 19 % one-star ratings — the most polarised profile in this ranking. Coolblue buyers rated it 9.4 out of 10, but from only 9 reviews, and Coolblue lists the lack of automatic dosing as its one drawback. The €549 price was last seen at Coolblue, which had since delisted it; testberichte.de speaks of around €500. At that level the tested LG and Samsung are safer choices.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Was the Haier HW90-B14959U1 tested by Stiftung Warentest?
No. The 8 kg HW80-B14959YEU1 was in issue 11/2025. We could not see its grade, and a result for the 8 kg model does not automatically apply to the 9 kg one.
Why is the owner score low if most reviews are five-star?
Because nearly one in five Amazon.de reviewers (19 % of 479) gave one star. A split like that points to a share of early failures or service problems, though reviews cannot show the cause.
