Review

What this product is

Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.

We have included this partly on price and partly because it demonstrates the whole problem with this category in a single listing.

Retailers advertise the same machine as 190 Air Watts and 27,000 Pascals and 90 minutes of runtime. Those first two are dimensionally different quantities describing different things, and quoting both simultaneously is not a specification — it is a choice to present whichever number looks largest to whichever buyer is reading.

Air Watts measure airflow times suction at a point in the airpath. Pascals measure sealed static pressure with zero airflow — a state a working vacuum never occupies, because a vacuum that is not moving air is not cleaning. They cannot be converted into one another, and a machine quoting both is telling you it knows its audience does not know the difference.

The 90-minute runtime claim is the third element, and like every headline figure in this category it will be an eco-mode number. No boost-mode figure is published.

At €187.65 it is genuinely the cheapest option here, and Dreame builds competent machines. But we found no independent European test result for it, no verified filtration class, no noise figure and no battery capacity.

If your budget is fixed near €190, this is the honest position: you are buying on price with almost no verified information. The LG CordZero at €260–289 costs roughly €80 more and comes with a published boost figure, a stated HEPA layer count, a noise measurement and an independent test score. That €80 buys knowledge as much as hardware.

Component scores

Where the score
comes from.

Four components, equal weight, each on a 0–10 scale and each resting on a named source. The overall score is their mean — the full procedure is in the methodology.

  1. Composition and specification6.0

Declared composition and specification: active ingredients and their concentrations, energy classes, standards, technical parameters — and what the manufacturer leaves unsaid.

  2. Evidence and studies4.5

Verification of the manufacturer's claims against outside sources: laboratory reports, industry testing, safety data sheets, certificates and regulatory decisions.

  3. Owner feedback7.4

Analysis of verified reviews written after extended use, together with recurring fault reports for the model or series.

  4. Cost and value9.4

Price set against what the product actually delivers, plus costs incurred later — consumables, energy, servicing, subscriptions — over the lifespan typical for the category.

What we liked

  • €187.65 — the cheapest machine in this ranking
  • Dreame builds competent hardware at aggressive prices
  • 90-minute maximum runtime claimed
  • Widely available across European retailers

Worth knowing

  • Marketed as both 190 AW and 27 000 Pa — two incompatible units for the same machine
  • No boost-mode runtime published
  • No independent European test result found
  • No verified filtration class
  • No noise figure or battery capacity published
  • Pascals describe sealed pressure at zero airflow and tell you nothing about cleaning

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is 27,000 Pa a lot?

It is not a meaningful figure at all for comparing vacuum cleaners. Pascals measure sealed static pressure with zero airflow — you block the inlet completely and measure the pressure difference. A vacuum in that state is picking up nothing. Cleaning depends on airflow, which Pascals do not measure. Any listing leading with a Pa figure is choosing a number that sounds large rather than one that describes performance.

Should I spend €80 more on the LG instead?

Probably. For that €80 you get a published boost runtime, a stated 5-layer HEPA filtration, a measured noise figure, a removable battery and an independent test score of around 1.6. The Dreame gives you a price and two mutually incompatible suction claims. In a category with no regulatory floor at all, verifiable information is worth paying for.

Principles

The manufacturer makes claims.
We check what the evidence says.

Every ranking follows the same protocol: an analysis of composition and specification, verification of claims against available studies, a review of verified owner feedback, and an assessment of price against what the product delivers.
