Review

What this product is

Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.

Strong on transparency and customer satisfaction, weak on price.

Saily publishes its fair use policy: 3 GB per day at full speed, then throttled to "up to 1 Mbps", with the threshold country-dependent (5 GB in some markets). And hotspot sharing is unrestricted — one of only a few here with no cap at all.

Trustpilot is 4.7 from 30,668 reviews with only 4% at one or two stars, the best distribution in this ranking. The recurring negative theme is worth knowing: poor coverage and slow data in certain regions, which is consistent with the wholesale-routing problem that affects the whole category.

Practical strengths: a purchased plan holds for 180 days before auto-activating on arrival, so you can buy well ahead; top-up works in-app with an auto top-up option; and a bundled ad blocker and web protection come from Nord Security's VPN heritage. Coverage is 35 countries including the UK, with 5G where the host network supports it. Support is 24/7 live chat.

The price is the problem. 10 GB for 30 days costs $35.99, roughly €30.95 — about €3.10 per GB, against Ubigi's €1.29 for the identical allowance. You are paying roughly two and a half times for a plan with the same data, from a provider that does not publish which networks it actually uses.

The 30-day unlimited at $49.99 is better value than Airalo's $71 equivalent if you genuinely use more than 3 GB a day — but the same daily cap applies, so it is not unlimited in any meaningful sense.

Buy this if you value the support record and the unrestricted tethering enough to pay a premium. Buy Ubigi if you want the same data for less than half the money.

Component scores

Where the score
comes from.

Four components, equal weight, each on a 0–10 scale and each resting on a named source. The overall score is their mean — the full procedure is in the methodology.

  1. Composition and specification7.6

Declared composition and specification: active ingredients and their concentrations, energy classes, standards, technical parameters — and what the manufacturer leaves unsaid.

  2. Evidence and studies8.0

Verification of the manufacturer's claims against outside sources: laboratory reports, industry testing, safety data sheets, certificates and regulatory decisions.

  3. Owner feedback9.2

Analysis of verified reviews written after extended use, together with recurring fault reports for the model or series.

  4. Cost and value6.4

Price set against what the product actually delivers, plus costs incurred later — consumables, energy, servicing, subscriptions — over the lifespan typical for the category.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the 4.7 Trustpilot score a reason to pay more?

Only partly. Trustpilot scores in this category track onboarding smoothness and support responsiveness far more than they track network performance or value — which is why Holafly scores 4.7 while having the tightest hotspot cap and the least transparent fair-use policy here. Saily's own recurring complaint theme is poor coverage and slow data in certain regions. A good support experience is worth something; it is not worth 2.4 times the price per gigabyte.
