Private Internet Access suits price-led buyers who still want evidence. The longest plan was USD 79 for three years plus three months (USD 2.03 a month), renewing at USD 79 per three years — about EUR 70.38 in total, or EUR 1.81 a month, at the ECB rate of 2 October 2026. Unusually, the renewal price on that plan is the same as the first term, and devices are unlimited.
The audit evidence is current: PIA's third Deloitte Audit Romania engagement, under ISAE 3000 (Revised), was published on 8 December 2025 and updated on 24 February 2026, following audits in 2022 and 2024, and the report is downloadable. It covered server configuration, management systems, dedicated-IP tokens and incident response. PIA says its servers are RAM-only and its apps 100% open source. The Q2 2026 transparency report lists 19 requests — 4 subpoenas, 2 warrants and 13 other or foreign requests — with no data disclosed.
The caveats: Private Internet Access, Inc. is US-based, which some buyers prefer to avoid, and PIA's no-logs page claims court cases have confirmed its policy without naming them on that page. Trustpilot shows 4.2 from 11,010 reviews; complaints centre on connection reliability and slow support responses.
