Review
What this product is
Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.
The E6 suits buyers who do not want to handle a brew unit at all and accept paying for that. Jura builds the brew unit in permanently and cleans it with an integrated rinse, cleaning and descaling programme; you cannot take it out to inspect or rinse it. Jura's data sheet is otherwise thorough: Professional Aroma Grinder, 15 bar pump, 1.9 litre tank, 280 g bean container, grounds container for 16 portions, variable brew chamber of 5–16 g, 28 x 35.1 x 44.6 cm, 9.1 kg, 1450 W, an energy-save mode and a stated standby consumption of 0 W.
Reports of Stiftung Warentest's 2025 test put the E6 (EC) at 'gut' (2.0), level with the Nivona at the top. A retailer's summary quotes sub-grades of 2.1 for espresso, 1.6 for handling and 1.5 for safety, with 'sehr gut' for milk foam and for cleaning and descaling. All of this is second-hand; we did not see the test table.
Jura's page showed no price. The retailer Coffee Friend listed the Platin (EC) at 899 euros, the highest price in this ranking for a machine with a hose-type milk system. That retailer also lists the grinder as steel with 5 settings. We found no usable pool of owner reviews for the current EC version, so the opinion score is a cautious middle value, and no noise figure is published.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Why can't the Jura brew unit be removed?
Jura designs its machines with a fixed brew unit and relies on an integrated rinse, cleaning and descaling programme. It saves a weekly chore, but you cannot look at or rinse the unit yourself, and the cleaning consumables become a fixed running cost.
What does 0 W standby mean here?
Jura's data sheet states a standby consumption of 0 W for the E6. It is the only standby figure this low that we found published among the ten machines.
