The Vitamin C version of Garnier's Super UV fluid suits buyers who want the same cheap, light daily SPF 50+ with a brightening angle, and who are fine with fragrance. Garnier publishes the full INCI: the UV filters are ethylhexyl salicylate, bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine, ethylhexyl triazone, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid and drometrizole trisiloxane. Ascorbyl glucoside is the vitamin C derivative. As with the sister product, there is no homosalate, octocrylene or benzophenone-3.
The downsides are clear from the same list. It contains parfum plus the declared fragrance allergens limonene, linalool, geraniol and citral, and lemon fruit extract, so it is a poorer choice for reactive skin than the hyaluronic version. Alcohol denat. is again the second ingredient. Garnier gives no UVA-PF or PPD number, only the statement that it protects against UVA, UVB and long UVA. Unlike the hyaluronic fluid, this one was not among the products named in Stiftung Warentest's 2025 face test, and we found no other independent result. Garnier's 'visibly reduces dark spots' wording is a cosmetic claim with no study figures on the page. Price is 11.00 euros for 40 ml on notino.de (27.50 euros per 100 ml), and the garnier.de rating is 4.8/5 from 96 reviews.
