What this product is

Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.

The Garmin Forerunner 570 is for road runners who value Garmin's coaching — training load, structured workouts, race predictor, daily suggestions — more than battery or maps. The5krunner's spec sheet lists two sizes: 42 mm (1.2-inch AMOLED, 42 g, up to 10 days, 13 h multi-band) and 47 mm (1.4-inch AMOLED, 50 g, up to 11 days, 18 h GPS-only, 14 h All-Systems multi-band, 8 h GPS with music). Both are 5 ATM with Gorilla Glass 3, Elevate Gen 5, skin temperature and pulse oximetry, and offline music storage for Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer and YouTube Music. There are no onboard maps.

The5krunner's August 2026 guide names it the best overall and best marathon watch, citing GPS accuracy, running dynamics and workout execution. We did not open a review with numerical accuracy data for this model, so our test score reflects a recommendation rather than measurements we saw.

The trade-off is clear: at €439.95 (lowest Dutch listing; reduced from €549.99) it lasts 14 hours in multi-band mode, a third of the PACE 4 Pro, and shows only a breadcrumb route. Garmin's own page did not render specs for us.

Component scores

Where the score
comes from.

Four components, equal weight, each on a 0–10 scale and each resting on a named source. The overall score is their mean — the full procedure is in the methodology.

  1. Composition and specification7.0

Declared composition and specification: active ingredients and their concentrations, energy classes, standards, technical parameters — and what the manufacturer leaves unsaid.

  2. Evidence and studies6.5

Verification of the manufacturer's claims against outside sources: laboratory reports, industry testing, safety data sheets, certificates and regulatory decisions.

  3. Owner feedback6.5

Analysis of verified reviews written after extended use, together with recurring fault reports for the model or series.

  4. Cost and value7.0

Price set against what the product actually delivers, plus costs incurred later — consumables, energy, servicing, subscriptions — over the lifespan typical for the category.
