Review

What this product is

Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.

The X310 is for drivers who want Garmin's 4K front camera with a small touchscreen. Coolblue lists 4K recording, a 140° field of view, microSD up to 512 GB, a 2.4-inch touchscreen, built-in GPS and Wi-Fi, parking mode, 12 V and 24 V adapters and a minimum four-year warranty. Coolblue's frame-rate field lists 15, 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60 fps without making clear which apply at 4K, so we do not treat 4K at 60 fps as confirmed.

We could not open Garmin's product page in this research. The image sensor, bitrate, operating temperature and power-backup type were not published on the pages we read. Coolblue states that a hardwire cable is not included.

Owner feedback is thin: 9.0/10 from just two Coolblue reviews, too few to weigh heavily. No independent result could be read. At €300 from Coolblue's listing, it costs about as much as the two-channel Viofo while recording only the front.

Component scores

Where the score
comes from.

Four components, equal weight, each on a 0–10 scale and each resting on a named source. The overall score is their mean — the full procedure is in the methodology.

  1. Composition and specification6.6

Declared composition and specification: active ingredients and their concentrations, energy classes, standards, technical parameters — and what the manufacturer leaves unsaid.

  2. Evidence and studies5.0

Verification of the manufacturer's claims against outside sources: laboratory reports, industry testing, safety data sheets, certificates and regulatory decisions.

  3. Owner feedback7.4

Analysis of verified reviews written after extended use, together with recurring fault reports for the model or series.

  4. Cost and value6.8

Price set against what the product actually delivers, plus costs incurred later — consumables, energy, servicing, subscriptions — over the lifespan typical for the category.
