Review

What this product is

Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.

This suits buyers who like multi-ingredient „cocktail“ serums and value owner feedback over disclosed doses. Sesderma's liposomal format (lecithin, sodium cholate) carries 3-ethyl ascorbic acid together with ginkgo leaf extract, resveratrol dimethyl ether, quercetin, palmitoyl tripeptide-5, sodium hyaluronate, mulberry root extract, retinyl palmitate and tocopheryl acetate, according to the Notino.de listing.

The weak point is disclosure. The vitamin C derivative appears eighth in the INCI list, after water, glycerin, two glycols, a silicone powder, a solubiliser and ginkgo extract, and no percentage is given. The listing also mentions tranexamic acid, which we could not find in the ingredient list, and the list contains typographical errors. The 2017 Al-Niaimi and Chiang review reports that derivatives did not raise skin L-ascorbic acid levels, and we found no study for this product.

Owners rate it 5.0/5 across 19 Notino reviews, the best average here among products with more than a handful of ratings. At €50.50 for 30 ml (€47.90 on offer) you are paying pharmacy-brand prices for an undisclosed dose. Parfum and the colourant CI 15985 are present. We could not open Sesderma's own page.

Component scores

Where the score
comes from.

Four components, equal weight, each on a 0–10 scale and each resting on a named source. The overall score is their mean — the full procedure is in the methodology.

  1. Composition and specification5.8

Declared composition and specification: active ingredients and their concentrations, energy classes, standards, technical parameters — and what the manufacturer leaves unsaid.

  2. Evidence and studies4.2

Verification of the manufacturer's claims against outside sources: laboratory reports, industry testing, safety data sheets, certificates and regulatory decisions.

  3. Owner feedback8.0

Analysis of verified reviews written after extended use, together with recurring fault reports for the model or series.

  4. Cost and value5.8

Price set against what the product actually delivers, plus costs incurred later — consumables, energy, servicing, subscriptions — over the lifespan typical for the category.

Principles

The manufacturer makes claims.
We check what the evidence says.

Every ranking follows the same protocol: an analysis of composition and specification, verification of claims against available studies, a review of verified owner feedback, and an assessment of price against what the product delivers.
