Review
What this product is
Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.
This serum suits someone who wants pure L-ascorbic acid at a meaningful dose without paying pharmacy-brand prices. The ingredient list we read on Notino.de puts ascorbic acid second, straight after water, and the listing states 12%, which sits inside the 10–20% range that the 2017 review by Al-Niaimi and Chiang describes as the useful window. Tocopherol (vitamin E) is present, as are sodium hyaluronate, adenosine and salicylic acid.
The formula is strikingly close to La Roche-Posay's Pure Vitamin C12: the same L'Oréal-group base of ascorbic acid, dimethicone, glycerin, alcohol denat. and potassium hydroxide, the same acetyl dipeptide-1 cetyl ester, at roughly a third of the price. Unlike the La Roche-Posay version it lists parfum, and alcohol denat. sits fifth.
What is missing: no pH, no published clinical data with participant numbers in the listing we saw (only the claims that it visibly corrects first signs of ageing and brightens after one month), and we could not open L'Oréal Paris's own product page, so the 12% figure and INCI are taken from the retailer. The 4.5/5 average on Notino comes from only 20 reviews. As with every water-based L-ascorbic acid serum, watch for darkening once opened.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is the Revitalift Clinical serum the same as La Roche-Posay Pure Vitamin C12?
Not identical, but the two ingredient lists we read share the same core: ascorbic acid, dimethicone, glycerin, alcohol denat., potassium hydroxide, salicylic acid and acetyl dipeptide-1 cetyl ester. The L'Oréal version adds parfum; the La Roche-Posay version adds hydrolysed hyaluronic acid and citric acid.
Does it contain ferulic acid?
No. The INCI list we read contains tocopherol (vitamin E) but no ferulic acid.
