Review

What this product is

Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.

On paper the CUDL clik is exemplary. Nuna publishes a separate weight and age band for each mode: facing the wearer with the integrated newborn insert at 3.5–7 kg (birth to four months), without it at 7–13.5 kg, facing forwards at 9–13.5 kg from six months, and on the back at 11–16 kg from nine months. The carrier weighs 0.93 kg and the waist belt runs from 62 to 152 cm.

The page also states OEKO-TEX Standard 100, two bibs of GOTS-certified organic cotton, mesh fabric, four magnetic buckles and machine washability, at 199.95 euros.

The independent result does not match the paperwork. Test.de reports that in Stiftung Warentest's 7/2026 test the Nuna was one of five carriers unsuitable for newborns: the baby's legs hung down even with the infant insert. By deduction from the published tally it was rated satisfactory overall; we did not see the number.

Nuna says the carrier is recognised as hip-friendly by the IHDI when used as directed, but Nuna was not on the IHDI product list we opened. No washing temperature, named EN standard or owner rating appeared on the page. It looks a better choice from about four months than from birth.

Component scores

Where the score
comes from.

Four components, equal weight, each on a 0–10 scale and each resting on a named source. The overall score is their mean — the full procedure is in the methodology.

  1. Composition and specification8.8

Declared composition and specification: active ingredients and their concentrations, energy classes, standards, technical parameters — and what the manufacturer leaves unsaid.

  2. Evidence and studies5.0

Verification of the manufacturer's claims against outside sources: laboratory reports, industry testing, safety data sheets, certificates and regulatory decisions.

  3. Owner feedback7.2

Analysis of verified reviews written after extended use, together with recurring fault reports for the model or series.

  4. Cost and value6.4

Price set against what the product actually delivers, plus costs incurred later — consumables, energy, servicing, subscriptions — over the lifespan typical for the category.
