Review
What this product is
Written after the analysis, from the same sources the score is built on: the manufacturer's documentation, available studies and verified owner feedback.
AVForums measured 1672 nits on a 10% HDR window and 655 nits full-field SDR on the 55-inch panel. Expert Reviews, testing the same size, recorded 972 nits in Filmmaker Mode and 2820 nits in Standard mode — the discrepancy is picture-mode dependent, not a testing error, and it illustrates why a single headline nit figure is unreliable. Even the conservative Filmmaker figure beats every OLED in this ranking.
The panel is CSOT CrystGlow HVA with quantum dot, running 144Hz natively. Input lag was measured at 13.2 ms in 4K60, 9.2 ms in Performance mode and 4.7 ms at 4K120 — the fastest here. HDR support is complete: Dolby Vision and Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10, HDR10+ and HDR10+ Adaptive, HLG. Google TV handles the app side, which means the full European catch-up set is present.
Two caveats matter. Only two of the four HDMI ports are 48 Gbps; ports 3 and 4 are HDMI 2.0. If a soundbar occupies one of the fast ports via eARC, you have one console port left. And AVForums found the HDR10 tone-mapping clips highlight detail above 1000 nits — a failing shared with the Hisense sets and a genuine limitation on bright HDR content, though Dolby Vision material is unaffected.
Off-axis performance is the other weakness. This is a VA panel: colour washes out and blooming becomes visible from the sides. In a room where three or more people watch from a spread of seats, this is more noticeable than any brightness advantage.
Reviews disagree on the audio layout — Expert Reviews describes 2.2 channels, AVForums 6.2.2. The 60 W figure and the Bang & Olufsen tuning are consistent across both.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Why do two reviews report completely different brightness figures for the same TV?
Because they measured different picture modes. AVForums recorded 1672 nits, Expert Reviews recorded 972 nits in Filmmaker Mode and 2820 nits in Standard mode. Filmmaker Mode prioritises accuracy and runs the panel conservatively; Standard mode pushes it hard. Both measurements are correct for the mode tested, which is why any single headline nit figure should be treated with suspicion unless the mode and window size are stated.
Is two HDMI 2.1 ports enough?
It depends on your devices. One of the two fast ports typically carries eARC to a soundbar or AV receiver, leaving one port for a console. If you own a PS5 and an Xbox Series X and use a soundbar, you will run out. The LG OLED55B5 and Samsung QE55S85F are the only sets in this ranking with four full-bandwidth ports.
What does the HDR10 tone-mapping problem actually look like?
On HDR10 content mastered above 1000 nits, the brightest highlights lose internal detail — a sunlit cloud renders as a flat white shape rather than showing texture. Dolby Vision content is unaffected because it carries dynamic metadata that tells the display how to map each scene, and this set supports Dolby Vision fully.
