The Coya is a design-led carrier that folds into a crossbody bag. Cybex publishes 3.2–15 kg from birth to about three years, with three positions: front inward from birth, front outward from around six months for about 20 minutes at a time, and back from six months.
Cybex is one of the few makers to put a time limit on forward-facing, and it publishes the hard figures many rivals omit: the carrier weighs 1 kg and the waist belt adjusts from 75 to 197 cm, the longest here. The fabric and lining are 100% polyester. The page shows an AGR seal from the German back-health campaign.
Two things count against it. First, care: Cybex specifies hand wash only, with no machine washing or tumble drying, which is a real drawback for a product that babies dribble on. Second, the test: test.de reports a grade of satisfactory in Stiftung Warentest's 7/2026 test at a price of 250 euros. Press summaries attribute this to a seat that is too wide and not adjustable and to weak support for the lower back; we saw those details second-hand only.
The page names no EN standard, no OEKO-TEX certificate and no IHDI acknowledgement, and at 1 kg it is the heaviest carrier with a published weight.
